Andean Bean Stew – Meatless, yet Hearty

I had this Chilean-inspired stew on a cool evening at a little bay-front hotel restaurant in South San Francisco. I was going to wait until the weather cooled to make it at home, but then got impatient, and made it on a 100-degree day. It was still good!

Unsweetened Vanilla Mixed Nut Milk

I have been wanting to make my own nut milk for a long time and finally got around to it. It is pretty easy to make, but takes a bit of time, and isn’t as cheap as you might think. After tasting the final product, it is definitely worth the money, in my opinion.

Thai Butternut Squash Soup – Warm Up This Winter

Some people think they do not like butternut squash. That is because they have never had this soup. I have personally converted a few people with this soup. It is perfect for a cold day… which for me, in Southern California, is anything below 60 degrees.
